Upcoming Events
Catanne and SirToastington had the idea to hold a tournament in the summer called Summer Showdown 2025. This event will be hosted by SirToastington and is planned to start at the end of June.
How does it work?
The tournament is going to be a leaderboard-based competition where players earn points based on where you place on the top 10 in MSC.
- The points are calculated similar to how points are calculated on MSC (e.g. 1st = 15 pts, 10th = 1 pt).
- Points reset every week and everyone starts from 0 again.
- At the end of each week, the bottom half of the leaderboard is eliminated. But there’s a twist! The best eliminated players get one final chance: a sudden death match on a single event. One attempt, best score moves on.
- Bonus points can be earned by getting a top 10 with a new/none meta character.
Final Round:
A 1v1 showdown of 5 events, each chosen by the remaining players.

Information
This is a tournament happening between December 13th and December 22nd. Players can submit scores/times in the given period to compete on the Main Leaderboard or on the Game Leaderboard of a single game. At the end of the period the 2 best players on the Main Leaderboard will advance to the knockout-phase. And the numbers 3 – 6 on the Main Leaderboard + the winners of the Game Leaderboards will advance to the playoffs. Via the playoffs 2 players can still participate in the final knockout-phase (more information in the Playoffs channel).
The winner of the tournament will receive the M&S WC 2024 Champion discord role + (yet to decide).

I saw a very POSITIVE number of people wanting to participate, so I’m grateful for that!
I looked at the best time to hold this event, most people were available at any time, some preferring September or October. I’m just creating a poll here where you can vote on what works best (you can also vote for multiple!!). Based on this we can decide if we want to hold this tournament in a 1-week period or in a 2-week period. If you didn’t fill in the form I send last time don’t worry, you can join the tournament at any time. And everyone is allowed to vote in the poll, every vote is appreciated! (To vote head over to our dicord server, you can find the link at the homepage).
Now that that’s done, I hope to see you all at the very first M&S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Hello, After a lot of planning, Ned is happy to announce the Mario and Sonic Tokyo Tyranny tournament!
This tournament will be similar to the Crappy Covid 2020 tournament. This will be a double elimination tournament, meaning that once you lose once, you move to a losers bracket, and if you lose there you are eliminated from the tournament.
Here is the current schedule, but this is prone to change depending on how many people join and community input:
Seeding round: Randomly selected timed event, with the best time getting 1st seed, 2nd best getting 2nd seed, 3rd getting 3rd, and so on. Seeds will then be put into a bracket which will be recorded on Challonge.
Wild card (if necessary): Best of 3 on a randomly selected story mode minigame, losers go to a losers bracket
1st round of winners/losers bracket: All story mode minigames speedrun.
2nd round of winners/losers bracket: All 1964 Olympic events normal difficulty speedrun. No gold medals are necessary for this round.
3rd round of winners/losers bracket: All 2020 Olympic events speedrun, hard for winners bracket and normal for losers.
4th round of losers bracket: All 2020 Olympic events gold medals hard speedrun.
Final of losers bracket: All events hard speedrun.
Final of winners bracket: All events gold medals very hard speedrun.

Information
Carterferris07 is hosting a tournament for Mario & Sonic London 2012 for the 3DS.
The event will be called 2022 London 3DS Event Championship. These will be rules as follows:
Double elimination bracket, Best of 7 matches.
Each event will be picked in a randomized wheel, also all matches at the beginning will be random by wheel spin.
Each match will consistent at most 7 events, 1 point for each win. First person that wins 4 games wins the Bracket.
We are officially banning pausing in games. The only reason is so Casuals and Speedrunners are as equally matched as possible.
All matches must be done on vc for verification to happen with one extra person in the Voice Chat as the “referee”. Scores/times will be announced via the player and will have to go based on trust.
