About the Tournament
This championship will be held from December 13th to the end of the year and will offcially decide who will be crowned as the next World Champion! To participate you can submit your scores in the Discord server. After your first submission you officially take part in the championship!
Tournament Structure
- Qualification Phase: You get 10 days to set scores which will award you points based on the difficulty of the score. The closer your record is to the WR the more points you get, which goes exponential. A WR will give you 10pts while a score that ties 10th place global only awards you with 4.47 points. You can still get point in a large range under 10th place but they will decrease drasticly. For example: WR in 100m Beijing DS is 8.776 and will award you 10pts. 10th place is 9.005 and will award you 4.47 points. 9.5 will only award you 0.79 points and the remaining 0.79 to 0 points are given until 11.000 which gives you 0 points. With 11.000 seconds being a % of the WR/top 10 which will be the same % in every score that decides what the minimum is to get points. This way it's a lot more fair for the absolute top competitors and grinders, while also keeping it fun for the casual players by still giving points for lower scores. However, this formula was slightly modified for certain events so that the points given are more forgiving or fair. When A WR gets beaten mid competition or top 10 scores get broken, the standards that were set before the competition will NOT be changed, this is to afford sudden point loses. IMPORTANT: For Beijing Wii and London Wii, make sure to play with the 60hz option, because some events can be affected between 50hz and 60hz. The formula has been adjusted to fit only the 60hz possible scores, not 50hz.
- Overall Leaderboard: The sum of all your individual game points will be showed on the overall leaderboard. Every game has a factor X which has to do with the amount of events the championship runs in a particular game. This is to make prevent people playing a game with a lot of events wont have an avantage by being able to collect more points. The total of your points in a game will be divided by factor X before appearing on the overall leaderboard. Factor X wont be the exact amount of events in the game as last year. Since last year simply by playing Rio Wii U you could get an insane amount of points for a single event, because Rio Wii U only had 9 events. Factor X will be a good balance between games with a lot of events vs games with a few events. We also banned events with 10 or more tied 1st places from the tournament as they could give people easier than wanted.

The top 2 of the overall leaderboard will be seeded directly into the semi-finals. The 3rd person on the overall leaderboard will be seeded into the quarter-final. 4th-6th will have their change to reach the quarter-final in the playoffs. You can also directly get a ticket to the quarter-final by getting first on the special leaderboard. The special leaderboard tracks the best game of each player. The most points of a player in a single game will be displayed there. Getting first on the leaderboards gives you a seed into the quarter-final. If the player already has a ticket for the semi-final or the quarter-final via the overall leaderboard, the ticket will be given to the next person on the leaderboard, etc. The 2nd person on the special leaderboard will recieve a ticket to the playoffs round. If this person gets the quarter-final ticket because the person in 1st is already qualified, the person in 3rd will get this ticket, etc. This will not be the case for the scenario where the person in 2nd was already qualified for the knockout round. The last way to find your way to the playoffs is by getting first on an individual game leaderboard. Again if the player already qualified for the next round via the overall leaderboard the player in 2nd will NOT get this ticket. This means that the amount of players in the playoffs can vary between 3 and 14.
The tournament consists of 3 major rounds.
